Changes in Export Procedures 
and Better Shipping Service & Prices!

There should be  some really nice changes and incentives
in Costa Rica's Export & Import Programs providing the
Government takes into account how important... the Nation's
Export Companies are for the economy of  Costa Rica.

Some changes that really need to come about are:
 

1.   To "stream-line"  Procomer to make it easier for
      Exporters to get their goods to their sales destinations,
      in a timely manner.  Procomer should be bending over
      backwards to try to help these companies instead of
      bogging them down, with tons of repetitious paperwork
      and "rules"  of protocol. 

2.   Shipping Companies need to be accountable and set up
      better tracking systems for import & export.  DHL, UPS,
      and Fed Ex, need to set up less expensive rates for
      smaller countries who are competing in the world market
      to create more incentives, for exporting companies. 
      Presently, they are very costly.


3.    Airports, Sea Ports, and Land Cargos need to have better
       security and insure that the goods are not damaged in
       their  transport.

4.    Costa Rica's infrastructure the roads, airports, and sea
       ports need to have a place of importance, in the
       government, to build a nation that encourages free trade.

5.    Costa Rica should only import those things which the
       country is in need of and consumer goods which are
       currently not manufactured in Costa Rica.

6.     Cafta and Free Trade Agreements, should benefit the
        people and businesses of Costa Rica not hurt them.
        Costa Rica's natural resources are not for trade, they
        are to insure that the people of Costa Rica can maintain
        a good life.  Free from pollution and corruption.
